Cotton poplin dress in the Majolica print — the multicoloured pattern drawn from the decorative ceramic tiles of Sicilian tradition, placed across both the bodice and the pleated skirt without interruption. The empire waistline sits high, giving the bodice its short proportion before the skirt opens beneath it with a gathered waist and full pleats that carry the print with movement. Short sleeves gather at the top, suspenders structure the shoulders, and the bodice back is smocked at the centre — the one construction detail that gives the fit its adjustability without a zip at the back of the bodice. A covered zip closure handles the back opening cleanly. The front bodice, back side and straps are lined; the skirt is unlined. As with all Dolce&Gabbana handmade pieces, print placement varies between garments — a characteristic of the handcraft rather than a defect. Pure cotton throughout, Made in Italy.
